Creating a piece of furniture is a wonderful process.
Especially when one is favoured by collaborations that participate in the process with flexibility and enthusiasm. Craftsmanship has something that industry cannot offer.
First and foremost, the material is viewed individually.
Each piece of wood has its own unique characteristics, and it is the art of the craft to arrange the product with respect for these individual charateristics.
It is one of the great and inspiring moments of collaboration when the drawing is examined with a view to translating it into physical reality. My goal is to display some products that are not only usable but also specifically express the beauty and origin of the material.
The products should speak their own distinctive language, and if it is not clear and needs to resort to written language to be understood – well, then it’s not good enough.
